Britains Got Talent audition!

Where has the year gone?

Halloween and bonfire night have all gone and we are headed into the festive season already! Tine certainly flies when you are busy,  having fun and being a mum.

Last weekend was one of the most exciting weekends fur he and fur my students! I decided over summer to apply to Britain's Got Talent and in September I put together a group an we began working hard on a piece to take to the auditions. The group titled 'Dynamic' is made up of ten girls aged between 8-16 and the futuristic routine is a fusion if jazz and hip hop dance styles and gymnastics. The girls worked so hard with rehearsals for up to 12 hours a week. Sons gas years if dance experience and some less than one year but they showed that with hard work and dedication you can achieve anything you want!

We were lucky enough to be filmed on location at London Bridge last Sunday by the BGT team and despite the chilly weather our team had amazing energy and enjoyed every second! We were then bundled into cabs up to London's Excel where we were filmed once again before finally auditioning.

Were hoping that our BGT journey isn't over and that Dynamic will be headed back in spring 2017. Watch out for us on TV in fantastic silver costumes!!

At Dynamic Dance Studios our focus remains on nurturing talent and offering performance opportunities to our students. As we head to the end of another great year we feel proud and happy with our achievements.

Remember it's not just about the destination but the journey.

Autumn leaves

I hope you're all having a good bank holiday weekend and if you've made it to Notting hill carnival I hope you're staying safe and having fun! We decided attempting the carnival with a one year old and a buggy may be a bit tricky this year but I do love it and can't wait to take C hopefully next year.

The summer holiday's are almost over and it's BACK TO SCHOOL!!
Our studios open for the Autumn term on Monday 5th September and we are gearing up for  a super busy year!! We have new classes, workshops, parties, School clubs and shows all lined up! We can't wait to get back into the studio and this week will be hectic in the office. I will be escaping to take class; this week I'm hoping to go to my local 'Dance Attic studios' in Fulham which I love and take jazz class and of course 'Pineapple' for some street and hip hop.

When the business side of things challenges me I remember to keep doing what I love with passion and the rest will fall into place (with lots of hard work of course!)

Our new timetable is online now and booking is available through our website
www.dynamicdancestudios.co.uk
We have a wide variety of classes for children and adults and are offering FREE trial classes for the First two weeks of September ( 5th- 17th September)
Street, jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary and musical theatre classes are all on our timetable! Our classes are suitable for all levels and we welcome everyone to try.

We also offer dance parties, private tuition, School workshops and nursery sessions. Contact me for more information emilydynamic@gmail.com

Autumn is and always has been my favourite season. I'm looking forward to the leaves falling and walking through them with my little toddler...

Summer!

Happy summer holidays everyone!

I have been poor at writing my blog over the past year. I can use work and motherhood as an excuse but really I spend so much time time scrolling and thinking things over......from now on I'm hoping to write more about dance, business, motherhood and life.

We have been on summer break since mid July and enjoyed some great end of term performance at both our Kingston and Cheam studios as well as at the Schools we provide to. I've had  a wonderful team of teachers working with me over the last year and feel very grateful to them for delivering such a high standard of classes.

We will be holding some workshops at our Kingston studios in a few weeks!

After a super hectic past year which of becoming a parent, opening a studio and putting on our May Circus show I'm enjoying some time at home with my little boy over the holidays. He is growing so quickly I want to enjoy as much time with him as possible before the new term starts.

I'm excited for the new school year and we are ready for a strong start with new classes, new teachers, new uniforms and some exciting new routines! Booking is available now at our website and we are now offering a brilliant 25% sibling discount!

Circus!

The months really are flying by so quickly that my own little one has turned one year old! What a year it has been since he arrived and it has been more than I imagined. We had a lovely circus themed party to celebrate!

The circus theme was carried on from our recent show titled 'Circus' which was a great success. We held it at the Adrian Mann theatre at Nescot college in Ewell and pupils from Kingston and Cheam took part. The hard work is always worth it with everyone Performing brilliantly and having a great time. I was a super proud teacher!

Our new Kingston  studio is going well with ballet and tap classes as well as adult contemporary and Barre concept on the timetable. We are holding a Street dance Workshop next week during half term for ages 5-10 years which will be a great fun morning.  you can book on our site www.dynamicdancestudios.co.uk
We also have a Frozen dance workshop at Eddiecatz in Earlsfield book at www.eddiecatz.com

Lets Get Moving!

Happy New Year!

The festivities have came to an end and its time to get back to work and focus on all of the positive things we want in 2016.

It's that time of year when having over indulged people vow to get fit and sign up for the gym, yoga classes, take up running etc. Personally I think it's a great new years resolution and with good intention lots of people make a positive change to their health.

As parents we are responsible for encouraging our children to be healthy and active and in a generation of gadgets, TV shows and social media its more important than ever to get our kids off the sofa and moving!

Dance is a superb way to keep children active and fit. There are so many options in dance for both boys and girls including ballet, acrobatics, street dance, break dance, belly dancing, jazz, tap and hip hop! There are many benefits to dance and this is what we focus on at Dynamic Dance.

Active
Dance improves children's stamina, physical strength and flexibility.

Confidence
Regular dance classes will improves your child's self esteem and confidence with a sense of achievement through performance and examinations.

Discipline
Although we focus on encouragement and building confidence our class are structured with a level of discipline. As pupils advance to become a skilled technician in dance discipline and focus is required.

Social skills and team work
Being part of a dance school or company will ensure your child is working as part of a team and improve their social skills.

We currently have classes running in Cheam and Kingston and provide dance for schools and nursery sessions. Contact me for more info and to book a free trial class.

I have whole list of things I'd like to achieve in 2016 which includes a home/work balance, returning to my post baby fitness level and achieving more professionally. I'll  try to do this one step at a time!

We will be expanding our class timetable this year and hope to announce an exciting project very soon.

Wishing you all the best this year
