How was the first week of term for you all? Mine was hectic but great!
All classes kicked off again this week and it has certainly been all go at Dynamic HQ with registrations, enquiries, party bookings, new choreography, merchandise ordering and plan for the site update. Running a business is non stop but so long as you enjoy what is at the heart of it that keeps you driven.
My friend Steve took me to see Viva Forever on Wednesday evening and I absolutely loved it. This is a modern, easy to watch, humorous musical with stunning acting, singing and choreography. I have met Lynne Page who choreographed Viva Forever several times in the past and her choreography is always wonderful. I really admired her work on this show; there was a flavour of spice girls in there with a a mish mash of different styles. I felt inspired and happy after watching this show, a must see for any spice girls fans!
This weekend is busy with taster workshops tomorrow at Putney leisure centres before our launch on Tuesday, birthday parties and a photo shoot on Sunday for me and some of my pupils. We are having it done at Canbury studios in Kingston with Helen and Nick who are excellent photographers. Look out for the new shots which will be splashed all over the site, Fb, blog and new marketing material.
I'm off to bed so I can be up early to squeeze in a workout. My fitness regime is going well, time to up the ante!
Enjoy your weekend

New term!
The Easter holiday's are coming to an end and I'm really looking forward to the new term!
All of my classes are back from Monday. We have classes running for children aged 4 years and over at Clapham, Kingston and Sutton and will be launching NEW classes at Putney Leisure Centre. Contact us to book in for a free trial for any of these locations. Dynamic dance classes are suitable for children of all levels where we encourage each child for each their full potential and keep classes structured yet fun whilst building confidence through performance.

I'm looking forward to starting work at Stars nursery this week teaching dance to the little ones at their Kingston and Worcester park centres! I absolutely love working with pre-School children; Dance is a great way to stimulate and keep children active from young age.
My major health kick has left my body a little battered but I already feel in much better shape. My fitness level is the best it has probably ever been and I'm now 32! I think as you get older you have greater understanding of your body and what it takes to be in peak condition and this really does overlap into my own technical ability as a dancer. I enjoyed taking a couple of classes at Pineapple studios earlier this week. It's never too late as a dancer to learn new styles and of course to stay fresh of ideas and inspired.
I'm off to do some choreography for the new term; Justin Timberlake will definitely feature in there somewhere and maybe even a little bit of Ant and Dec for the little ones-Lets get ready to rumble!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Dance in the rain
I hope you've all enjoyed the beautiful weekend! Spring has definitely arrived for me and I am feeling very positive and looking forward to the summer term.
This week I have stepped up my fitness regime as I have been lucky enough to have some time off so I've been hitting the gym at Virgin Active Kingston and back in the hot room at Bikram Yoga Surbiton. My thighs in particular are aching but I already feel great and plan to be in tip top shape in a couple of months. For me a healthy body-healthy mind. There is no better therapy than exercise, I really do feel amazing afterwards. The gym gives me a great buzz and makes me feel full of energy, and Bikram gives an amazing stretch out and focuses and calms me as well as making my skin look really fresh. I plan to start my outdoor runs this week as well boxing training next week. There are so many choices for exercise now with lots of new classes such as Tac Fit and booty Barre! It's about finding what works for you. Whatever challenges I'm facing I find positivity and exercise is the key. 'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain'
My new term at ASAD started last week so I'm working on new choreography already. The students are very focused and it's great to be back in the studio with them teaching Jazz and tap. We have the Eddie Catz Got To Dance camps this week which look to be super busy! There are a few spaces left so if you want your child to come along book at http://www.eddiecatz.com/workshop-detail.php?e_id=327

Happy Easter
I hope you've all had a great Easter and enjoyed the long weekend.
The cold weather certainly didn't deter spirits at the Horniman museum over the weekend where we had great crowds joining us for our fun dance sessions and Easter bunny hop! Rebecca and I had a great time and we were really well looked after by everyone there.
There are many activities available to keep your children active during the Easter break and we have some spaces left on our Got To Dance camp next week at Eddie Catz Putney where children will learn some great routines and take part in a mini performance. I always enjoy running these camps and expect them to be really busy so don't miss out! Book your Child's space at www.eddiecatz.co.uk
I was lucky enough to be taken by some friends to see Burn the Floor last night at the Shaftesbury Theatre in London which is a ballroom and latin dance show featuring a few of the strictly stars a including Kristina Rihanoff and Karen Hauer and it was absolutely stunning!
The choreography, costumes, and performance was amazing and the stamina, technique and ability of each dancer was really world class and very inspiring. If you get the chance, go and see it. www.burnthefloor.com
I finally have a few days off so will be enjoying a well earned rest. I'm certain spring is just around the corner.
Have a great week
