Last Friday we held our Christmas concert 'Christmas rocks!' at Tiffin School, Kingston. Sixty of my pupils took part in the performance which featured Christmas themed routines including the babies in their Christmas p-j's bouncing around to 'I saw mommy kissing santa' to my senior girls performing a beautiful lyrical routine to 'river/god rest ye' Glee style. We had mulled wine, mince pies, carols and a visit from Santa himself! It was a great evening and as always the children performed brilliantly giving them all another boost of confidence to finish off the year.
All of my classes are finished now until the New year. Over the next week I will be running some Christmas parties and preparing a little myself for Christmas and my trip to the North East where i will spend time with my family. I'm hoping to fit in some training, yoga, dance classes and preparation for the new term over the holidays. I'm really looking forward to 2013 and have lots of great things planned for Dynamic Dance.
This year has been personally challenging but also one of transition and success and I'm grateful for all of the great things in my life and continue to feel blessed to have a career which I'm so passionate about.
I hope you all enjoy the lead up to Christmas and don't forget to look after yourself during party season!
Love and light

Happy Halloween!
Happy Halloween!
Although I’m a day late we’ve been celebrating for almost two weeks in classes
and with Halloween parties and workshops at Eddie Catz Putney. There have been so
many sweetie treats and lots of crazy costumes, It’s been great fun.
Christmas is
not far off so I will be focusing on our Christmas concert ‘Christmas rocks!’
which is taking place on Friday 7th December and is going to be
fab! It’s also party season with lots of children and adult parties coming up. We
provide brilliant dance parties and can help organise venues, face painters, disco
lighting, karaoke and much more to make your events extra special and exactly how
you want it.
During my
busy time I will continue to train with my regular gym workouts and Bikram yoga
sessions as well as dance classes. Healthy body = healthy mind and I can’t praise
the benefits of exercise enough particularly during stressful times. Live
strong!
I’m looking
forward to a really positive November! Have a great weekend.

If you are looking for half term activities I’ve teamed up once again with Eddie Catz Putney and we have some Halloween themed dance workshops on November 1st and 2nd for children aged 5-10 years. Contact me to book a place for the two fun packed mornings where the children will learn some fab routines.

festive, fun, family evening and you’re all invited. Tickets are just £5 on sale
closer to the time. We are working on some very funky Christmas routines and all
of the children are very excited already! I love choreographing and putting on
these events which bring people together and allows the children to have
wonderful performance experience. This is what we specialise in at Dynamic Dance
where our aim is to build the confidence in young people and allow them to be
part of something special.
Have a great

Got to Dance!
The new term is in full swing and Autumn is in the air which is my favourite season!
All of our classes are back now and with school sessions and parties back in the schedule it's all go. I've had one of my students, Rebecca, on work experience with me this week which has been great. She's experienced all areas of running Dynamic Dance and it's been great for me having some help and company throughout the week and her enthusiasm has been brilliant. Choreography for our next big show is in full swing and I'm feeling creative and excited. This Sunday I'm taking a load of my pupils along to watch the Got to Dance live auditions in London which is really exciting. The judges this year are Ashley Banjo, Aston Merrygold and the lovely Kimberley Wyatt. It will be an inspiring and fun day for us all and will no doubt feed my creativity as I see what other talented dancers and choreographers present.
In a weeks time I'll be back teaching at the drama School which I love. I teach jazz and tap to full and part time students and their focus and attitude is wonderful for me to work with. I am able to incorporate different jazz styles into the choreography including contemporary and lyrical as well as commercial. I'll be selecting music and preparing this week.
Halloween is not far off so I'm planning my workshops and a Halloween party! Details will be with you soon.
It's not too late to sign up for the term and try out classes in any of our locations. Also don't forget we offer dance parties, Schools sessions and private tuition and with a talented team of teachers on board we offer the highest standard.
Have a great weekend.

Back to School
Summer is almost over and we are gearing up for the new School term!
I have missed my busy timetable and feel ready for the new term with lots of new ideas and plans for the year ahead. All classes recommence from Tuesday 4th September and I'm offering FREE trials to new pupils for the first week of term. Places are booking fast so contact me to reserve your space.
I hope you've all enjoyed the break and managed to catch some relaxation and sunshine be it here in the UK or somewhere more exotic! I was lucky enough to spend some time in the South of France with some close friends for a beautiful wedding. It was lovely to get way. I've really enjoyed the summer here in Kingston with it being such a relaxing yet vibrant place to live.
I'm taking some of my Dynamic dancers along to the Ickle Pickles charity event on Tooting Bec Common this Saturday to perform so you can catch us on the main stage at 12noon. It will be a fun day out with lots going on so come down and support us if you can.
I'm currently on a mini detox with some juicing whilst I work hard getting ready for the new term. It's tough but I know I'll feel great when it's done.
Enjoy the last of the holiday's and good luck getting ready to go back to school!

Super summer
We are so incredibly lucky to have enjoyed such beautiful weather over the last couple of weeks! Just in time for the school holidays and the Olympics kicking off, it has been really great and you've probably all felt the electric vibe in London.
I was blown away by the incredible opening ceremony that England presented on Friday evening directed by Danny Boyle. My favourite parts were the simply stunning Dance piece by Akram Khan and the new age techno section with some very talented young performers. Some English history and of course the respects paid to those who lost their lives in the July 2005 bombings made it compassionate and respectful as well as truly entertaining. We loved it and I felt completely inspired and proud to be British.
My summer school, Dancetastic at Sutton High started today and we had Great fun with our street dance theme. Tomorrow is tap then we have ballet, contemporary and commercial jazz before our show on Friday. On Wednesday We will be providing entertainment at the Horniman museum with some great dance Workshops so if you're looking for a great day out come along and join us from 2pm. I will also be entertaining at Sainsburys Balham for their fundraiser on Saturday afternoon from 12-1pm so come along and support the community and join me for some dancing and games.
The will be more news on my extended Dancetatsic summer Schools during August soon. It's turning out to be a busy summer but that's the way I like it. I've had a chance to recharge my batteries and it's great to be back in the studio.
Enjoy the great atmosphere of our super British summer! And if you have any Olympics tickets going spare.....

Summer holidays
The summer holidays
are finally here with most of the Schools breaking up this week! All of my regular classes are finished for the term
and what a great term it has been for me and all of my students.
I’ve had a great School
year with Dynamic dance and my college students. We’ve had two amazing
shows; Bright lights and We Are The Champions, a successful Danceathon in November
raising money for children in Need, a great performance at Parsons Green and
lots of great classes. Each of my pupils has grown in ability and confidence
and it’s amazing to see. I’m sure all of the children are looking forward to a
well deserved break over the summer. I’m really hoping we have some good weather
over the holidays so that we can all enjoy everything London has to offer and of
course for the Olympics!
If you’re looking for
summer events over the summer Dynamic dance kicks off with Dancetastic summer
School from 30th July-3rd August at Sutton High School
for ages 5-14 years which is going to be fab. My team and I have a great
week of dance planned and it’s not too late to book. I’ll also be running
summer dance camps with my great friends at Eddie Catz Putney and Wimbledon during
August. I have some weekly classes for 3-5 years running in Sutton and Kingston
for all the Dynamic tots out there! And finally I will be running a Dance event
at the Horniman museum on 1st August which will be a great day out.
As for me when I’m
not working I’ll be relaxing in Kingston town, running by the river, hitting
bikram yoga Surbiton and taking class at
Pineapple studios. I officially turn a year older tomorrow and I’m hoping the
next year will bring me lots of wonderful things! If I stay fit and healthy,
spend more time with my family and friends and keep on dancing I’ll be happy.
I hope to see lots of
you at my summer classes.
Have a great week

Champions!!!!!!!!
We are the Champions was a huge success!!!!!!! All of the hard
work was well worth it with two wonderful shows performed by my amazing dancers.
Their hard work, dedication and positive spirit in the lead up to the show was
inspiring and the Olympic theme went down a treat. We had a big opening number with gymnasts, showgirls, cheerleaders and little soldiers! The routines with props including skipping
ropes, ribbons and a basketball were fab and the tap solo and urban ‘Passout’
number were also big hits. I was so proud of all of the children and the medals
issued in the finale were very much deserved.
This Saturday we are performing a small section of the show
at Parsons Green fete in Fulham at 12.45pm. Come down and check out my little
Champions.
Places are filling up for my ‘Dancetastic’ Summer School
which takes place at Sutton high school from 30th July-3rd
August. This is a week long dance experience based on street, jazz, tap and contemporary
with a big show at the end of the week
for ages 5-14 years. It will be a fantastic week (hence the title!) Contact me
to book at emily@dynamicdance.org.uk
As things are slightly calmer now I will be getting in the
gym, back in the hot room and listening to the new Chris Brown album ‘Fortune’
which I’m already a massive fan of. I’m looking forward to the summer holiday's and the
new term in September; I can’t wait to get cracking on some new choreography.
Have a great week

We are the Champions!
I’ve not blogged in while as I’ve been manic with show
preparation plus moving house! Brand new Dynamic headquarters now in the
beautiful Kingston upon Thames! I’m really excited for our show next weekend
which is going to wonderful.
This week will be intense as I finalise costumes,
chaperones, visuals, finalise programme design, tighten up the routines and run
final dress rehearsals. We had a big rehearsal today at dance attic in Fulham which
was really exciting for all of the children with so many classes and auditions
happening in the other studios. The big studio we used was ideal and I also
found some new classes that I’ll definitely be trying myself. Lots of memories of
packed auditions there many years ago.....!
Tickets are still available for the 2.30pm and 7.15pm performance
next Sunday of ‘We are the Champions’ at www.dynamicdance.org.uk
I hope you all have a great week and to see lots of you at
the show next Sunday.

Jubilee fun!
I hope you’ve all had a great weekend celebrating the Queens
jubilee! What a great way to bring people together with so many street parties
and events happening. Although I was out of London for most of the weekend my
highlight was the jubilee concert organised by the super talented and inspiring
Mr Gary Barlow. His official Jubilee song featuring the military wives ‘Sing’ is just beautiful. I also loved watching my
favourite princess Kate rock some stunning outfits as always!
Tickets for our summer show are now on sale live at the website
and selling like hot cakes! Book soon to avoid disappointment for the 2.30pm or
7.15pm show of ‘We are the Champions’ on Sunday 1st July. www.dynamicdance.org.uk
All classes are back on from tomorrow and with private lessons
and show rehearsals it’s business a usual!
Happy Jubilee

Summer sun!
I’m so happy that we’ve had this beautiful summer weather! Despite
the cynics I think it’s the start of thing to come for the whole summer.
With just over a month
to go until our big summer show ‘We are the Champions’ It’s a really busy time
for me with choreography, rehearsals, Graphic design, costumes, tickets and visuals
to get prepared in order to make our show a big success. With a
lot of hard work, and plenty of good organisation I know it’s going be fab! There will be everything from tap to Gymnastics
in this show so please come along and support us! Tickets will be on sale by
the end of this week at my website www.dynamicdance.org.uk
We also will be performing at the Parsons Green fete in July
on their main stage, where we’ll present a twenty minute showcase of what we
offer at Dynamic Dance giving my Superstars another great performance
experience.
Please don’t forget that you can book up now for our summer
School which takes place from 30th July-3rd August at
Sutton high School. This is available for ages 5-14 years and will be a great
week where the children will learn a variety of dance styles and get to perform
at the end of the week.
I hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend celebrating
the Queens Jubilee! Congratulations to her Majesty.
